Northern Lights Family Justice Center: Offering domestic abuse survivors an array of services under one roof From Yellowstone Valley Woman
Providing safety planning, support, and coordination of free local services for those who are experiencing the victimization of unhealthy or unsafe relationships, violence, and/or abuse. Our trained and compassionate professionals are non-judgemental, and we welcome individuals at any point in their process.
Even one or two of these behaviors in a relationship is a red flag that abuse may be present.
“I didn’t even know where to start. So thankful for one place I could go for everything.”

A holistic, coordinated, centralized hub of caring professional providers with offices to provide services to you in one place.
Housed in the secure facilities at 909 Wyoming Ave Billings, MT 59101, Northern Lights is designed to reduce the number of places you must go to receive services.
Uniquely prepared to serve children and adults who have experienced trauma on their journey to what’s next offering hope, a sense of belonging, and light.
Your self-identified, individualized selection of providers allows you to account for your safety, autonomy, health, and wellness potential, allowing the professionals to honor you as you are (race, sex/gender, sexuality, socio-economic status, ability status, immigration status, religion, etc.).
Take your time to arrive and be present. Breathe. You’ll be welcomed into a space that is ready for you whenever you’re ready. Evaluate your level of engagement.
When ready, you’ll be invited to participate in a brief initial interview, risk assessment, safety planning, and introduction to the professional providers that make sense to you.
Our selected professional providers are committed to providing services at no costs to you, attentive to your inclusion and accessibility as demonstrated through their cultural responsiveness.
You’ll depart with information, a self-determined plan, and an open invitation to return.
You choose what’s needed when it’s needed. All of these services are provided under one roof for your convenience. But they are all optional. You don’t have to pursue any services you’re not ready for.
A huge thank you to the Billings YWCA and Billings Police Department for helping to make Northern Lights Family Justice Center possible.
