Uniquely prepared to serve children and adults who have experienced trauma on their journey to what’s next offering hope, a sense of belonging, and light.

Your self-identified, individualized selection of providers allows you to account for your safety, autonomy, health, and wellness potential, allowing the professionals to honor you as you are (race, sex/gender, sexuality, socio-economic status, ability status, immigration status, religion, etc.).

When I Come to Northern Lights, What Happens Next?

Arrive

Take your time to arrive and be present. Breathe. You’ll be welcomed into a space that is ready for you whenever you’re ready. Evaluate your level of engagement.

Connect

When ready, you’ll be invited to participate in a brief initial interview, risk assessment, safety planning, and introduction to the professional providers that make sense to you.

Engage

Our selected professional providers are committed to providing services at no costs to you, attentive to your inclusion and accessibility as demonstrated through their cultural responsiveness.

Self-Determine

You’ll depart with information, a self-determined plan, and an open invitation to return.

You choose what’s needed when it’s needed. All of these services are provided under one roof for your convenience. But they are all optional. You don’t have to pursue any services you’re not ready for. 

YWCA Billings is currently embracing Northern Lights and all on-site partners, while additionally providing administrative support, and access to its advocates.
